Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Test Engineer to join our Gas Product Testing Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and suitability of a diverse range of gas-related products. The successful candidate will be engaged in comprehensive testing processes for both domestic and commercial gas appliances and fittings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough testing on various gas products to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers to address the safety of gas-related products, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, presenting findings and understanding their specific requirements.
  • Manage multiple testing projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong project management skills.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a BTEC/HNC (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering, chemistry, or physics.
  • Experience in testing gas appliances in a laboratory or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with BS EN standards related to domestic and commercial gas appliances is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to produce clear and concise reports.
  • A proactive, customer-focused mindset with the ability to work collaboratively under tight deadlines.
