We are seeking a skilled Machine Technician to join our team at 2 Sisters Food Group in Scunthorpe. As a key member of our production team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

  • This is a permanent opportunity with a competitive hourly rate of £15.20.
  • The working hours are 3 on 3 off, 12 hour days, with a 05:00 - 17:00 schedule.
Main Responsibilities:

As a Machine Technician at 2 Sisters Food Group, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with Production and Engineering teams to plan and execute maintenance schedules, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal production levels.
  • Supporting Operations to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Assisting with audits and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Liaising with colleagues to foster good working relationships and a culture of open communication.
  • Setting up and configuring machinery according to production requirements.
  • Monitoring machinery during operation to identify and resolve any issues that may affect production.
  • Troubleshooting mechanical and technical problems to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Maintaining accurate records of machine maintenance, repairs, and adjustments using our CMMS (Shire Systems).
  • Preparing reports on machine performance, efficiency, and any incidents/malfunctions encountered.
  • Complying with all company policies, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to reduce losses and improve overall efficiency.
Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Machine Technician who possesses:

  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), grade A-C in English, Mathematics, and a Science.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to interact with colleagues at all levels.
  • Good computer skills and proficiency in using CMMS systems.
  • A strong team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A good attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
