We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced History teacher to join our team at Academics as a Director of Historical Studies. As a key member of our academic leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and developing our History curriculum, ensuring that it is engaging, challenging, and relevant to our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive History curriculum that meets the needs of all students
  • Lead and manage a team of History teachers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality teaching and learning
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the History curriculum, making recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with other subject leaders to ensure a cohesive and inclusive curriculum across the school
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders to enhance the school's reputation and opportunities for students

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of teaching History at secondary level
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
