Medical Staffing Coordinator

Job Overview
The Division of Surgery at BHRUT NHS is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Medical Staffing Coordinator. This position plays a critical role in the smooth operation of the trauma and orthopaedics service, and the ideal candidate will possess experience in medical rota co-ordination within an NHS setting.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Acting as the main point of contact for medical rostering for junior doctors and other key stakeholders.
- Providing administrative support to the General Manager, Service Manager, Clinical Care Group Director, Clinical Director, and Specialty Leads in managing medical staffing.
- Ensuring accurate and timely information related to medical staff management, including compliance with New Deal requirements, appraisals, and monitoring leave.
- Working closely with the Clinical Director and General Manager to develop processes that support junior doctors on all issues related to their employment within BHRUT.
- Managing and coordinating annual and study leave, minimizing medical locum usage while ensuring adequate coverage.

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree-level qualification or equivalent training and experience in medical rota co-ordination within an NHS setting.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and telephone manner.
- Ability to manage and resolve complex staffing issues using own initiative.
