Health Care Assistant

Owen Mor Care Centre, a 79-bedded specialist care home in Derry, seeks dedicated individuals to provide high-quality care and support to adults with dementia and mental ill health.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal provision, and promoting positive social interaction. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing personal care assistance to clients, ensuring dignity and respect are maintained at all times
  • Preparing and serving meals, catering to individual dietary needs and preferences
  • Fostering a supportive environment that encourages social interaction and participation in activities, enhancing clients' quality of life

Care Assistants work closely with the experienced care team to deliver exceptional care and make a real difference in the lives of our clients. We offer comprehensive training and development opportunities, including NVQ level 1 & 2 in Health & Social Care courses, to help you grow and succeed in your role.
