Job Summary:
The Functional Skills Tutor will play a key role in supporting the education of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) at NHS England Choices College, a supported internship programme. The successful candidate will have experience in teaching English and maths to adult learners with disabilities and will be able to provide individualized support strategies.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver bespoke maths and English training to interns in a classroom setting
- Maintain detailed weekly individual records for each student, meeting inspection requirements
- Work closely with the Education Quality Assurance Manager to deliver educational outcomes and maintain an employment transition rate above 75%
Requirements:
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent
- Recognized post-16/adult teaching qualification, minimum Level 3 (AET/PTTLS/PGCE/)
- Experience of teaching English and maths to adult learners with disabilities
