We are seeking an experienced Academy Teaching Assistant to join our team at the Lincoln Military Academy. As a part-time, fixed-term position, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our learners.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND), tailored to their specific requirements.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons, ensuring inclusive and engaging learning experiences.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents, promoting a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these.
  • Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities, enhancing your skills and knowledge in supporting students with SEND.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications, including NVQ3 or equivalent recognized by National Occupational Standards for Supporting Teaching and Learning.
  • Experience working with students with SEND, preferably in a Post 16 setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents.
