Job Opportunity: Interim Accounts Manager

Hays PLC is seeking an experienced Interim Accounts Manager to join their team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a national multi-award winning construction company based in Leeds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and provide detailed explanations.
  • Analyse manufacturing costs and provide insights to improve cost efficiency.
  • Support the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including production and supply chain, to gather financial data and provide financial guidance.
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.
Requirements:
  • Preferably, fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), although qualified by experience, will be considered.
  • Solid background in management accounting, ideally in the construction industry.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite and financial software.
