Job Title: FTC Management Accountant

Hays PLC is seeking an experienced Interim Accounts Manager to join their team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This exciting opportunity will see you play a key part in the company's national operation, working with some of the best professionals in the industry.

About the Role

This is a fantastic chance to work with a multi-award winning construction company based in Leeds. As an Interim Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and provide detailed explanations.
  • Analyse manufacturing costs and provide insights to improve cost efficiency.
  • Support the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including production and supply chain, to gather financial data and provide financial guidance.
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.
Requirements
  • Preferably, fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), although qualified by experience, will be considered.
  • Solid background in management accounting, ideally in the construction industry.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite and financial software.
