Job Summary

Vestas is seeking a skilled Technical Planner to join our team in the UK and Ireland service department. As a Technical Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our wind farms by providing technical analysis and support to our technicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical analysis and preparation of service orders to provide technical solutions for technicians.
  • Define resources needed for service orders, including competencies, materials, and tools.
  • Search for and retrieve technical documentation and safety documentation from Vestas' database for technicians.
  • Communicate daily with technicians, dispatchers, technical, and customer groups.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement strategic and long-term planning for future tasks.

Requirements

  • Experience in technical planning, preferably in a technical environment, or as a wind turbine technician.
  • Newly qualified engineer (e.g., mechanical or electrical) or electrician with a focus on technical specifications and technical support.
  • Good IT skills, with SAP/Salesforce experience a plus.

Competencies

  • General understanding of wind turbine technology and an interest in technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Structured and solution-oriented approach to daily tasks.
  • Ability to think clearly in a time-sensitive setting and handle varying workloads and tasks.
