About the Role

Magnus James is seeking a skilled Lettings Valuer to join our team in a busy, fast-paced environment. As a Lettings Valuer, you will be responsible for creating and arranging market appraisals, identifying client needs, and aligning them with suitable service levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Appraisals: Create and arrange market appraisals to identify client needs and align them with suitable service levels.
  • Service Knowledge: Have a deep understanding of our services and products, seeking cross-selling opportunities to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and fees, ensuring all necessary documentation is obtained before property marketing.
  • Property Listings: Take high-quality photos and write accurate descriptions for market listings.
  • Property Measurement: Undertake the measurement-up of properties in readiness for marketing.
  • Client Management: Maintain an effective client list and assist in any other requested tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the department.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience of a similar role is desirable.
  • Legislation Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of current lettings legislation and landlord/tenant laws is desired.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Administrative Skills: Strong administrative skills with an attention to detail, especially when dealing with contracts.
  • Communication Skills: Confidence in dealing with a variety of people, both in person, over the phone, and in writing.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work as part of a team and alone.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft packages and good keyboard skills.
  • Driving License: Full driving license required.
