Child Development Specialist

About the Position:

We are seeking a Child Development Specialist to join our team at The School House Academy Inc. This is a part-time, permanent position with opportunities for professional growth and development.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children in a childcare setting and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supporting early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  2. Engaging children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
  3. Maintaining daycare equipment and assisting in housekeeping and cooking duties.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of a Secondary School diploma (preferably ECE Certified)
  • Experience working with children in a childcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Compensation:

The salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.

This is a unionized position and we offer comprehensive benefits including extended health care, dental care, and paid time off.
