About the Role:

Aramco Trading Limited (ATL) is seeking a highly skilled Charterer to join our team. As a Charterer, you will play a critical role in developing and executing our shipping strategy, ensuring the successful chartering of vessels and managing our logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement annual shipping strategies in collaboration with traders, operations, and chartering manager.
  • Conduct chartering of TC and space on COA/SPOT vessels, ensuring optimal vessel selection and charter terms.
  • Assist in preparing implementation plans to charter vessels, including coordinating with traders and operations schedulers.
  • Review trading strategies periodically with chartering manager and operations lead, monitoring and adjusting positions based on risk and trading limits.
  • Negotiate, decide, and validate shipping deals, finalizing charter terms and executing deals.
  • Input transaction details into the current system, ensuring accuracy of any given terms.
  • Work closely with the Settlement team to follow up on freight payment.
  • Interact with ship owners, brokers, and other parties to obtain intelligence and develop a forward view of the shipping market.
  • Coordinate with traders and operations schedulers to obtain and confirm vessel chartering requests.
  • Communicate with ship owners and brokers regarding contractual terms and conditions changes, and work with the freight and demurrage team to resolve contractual misunderstandings.
  • Check and maintain trades, terms, banking details, and other critical specifics for errors and revise them.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by the Manager.
