Job Title: Digital Publishing Director

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Publishing Director to join our team at Hachette UK. As a key member of our publishing department, you will be responsible for the strategic development of our romance imprint Eternal and our digitally-led commercial fiction imprint Accent.

Key Responsibilities:

* Acquire and develop a list of titles for both imprints, with a focus on creating digital bestsellers in the UK and US
* Work closely with the Deputy Publishing Director to oversee the acquisition strategy for both imprints
* Manage and grow sales of our existing authors
* Explore different pathways to find new talent, including open submissions and self-published authors

Requirements:

* Proven track record in digital publishing and a demonstrable ability to spot and pre-empt trends in the digital market
* Passion for romance and commercial fiction, with a strong understanding of the genre
* Excellent communication and project management skills
* Ability to work closely with marketing, publicity, sales, and rights teams
