Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is £80,000 - £110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Deutsche Bank team as a Global Sanctions Specialist. As a key member of the Sanctions department, you will be responsible for advising on and addressing Sanctions risks, working closely with regional colleagues, compliance, and the business. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the bank's operations remain compliant with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create local addenda to Global Sanctions & Embargoes (S&E) policy and procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations
  • Implement and embed Global Policies & Operating Procedures through Desktop Procedures
  • Provide advice to regional colleagues, compliance, and the business on the interpretation of S&E Policies
  • Evaluate exemptions, exceptions, or breaches to Global S&E
  • Develop and execute regional/country/divisional training
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrable experience in reviewing relevant Sanctions law, regulation, and guidance, with a focus on United Kingdom, European, and United States sanctions
  • Experience in working both within a team and independently to challenging deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent prioritisation skills
  • A wider knowledge of AFC taxonomies is also preferable
