The post-holder will be responsible for expanding the range of interventional radiology procedures at our new IR unit, establishing new services such as prostate artery embolisation, thrombectomy for pulmonary thromboembolic disease, and management of venous disease like venoplasty & stenting.

The successful candidate will also support the vascular interventional radiology meetings and be part of the AAU radiology rota, with on-call commitments involving a 1 in 18 weekend rota and a requirement to be on site at the weekend/bank holidays between 08:30 and 15:30.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Extensive experience in general and interventional radiology
  2. Knowledge of NHS complaints system
  3. Record of incident and near miss reporting
  4. Presentation skills
  5. Teaching undergraduates and postgraduates
  6. Demonstrates honesty, integrity and appreciation of ethical dilemmas
  7. Audit experience
  8. Experience of research, presentations to learned societies

Working hours: 7am - 7pm Monday-Friday with flexible job plan available. On-call backup overnight and weekend 8.Two Interventional Radiology full days. AAU flexible with on-call.
