Job Title: Paediatric Endocrinologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Paediatric Endocrinologist to join our team at the Transformation Unit. As a Paediatric Endocrinologist, you will be responsible for managing complex general endocrine disorders and a cohort of patients with complex neuroendocrine conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead the neuroendocrine service
  • Support the congenital hypothyroidism service
  • Conduct daily ward rounds and review endocrine and diabetes inpatients
  • Supervise junior doctor management of outliers
  • Participate in clinical and molecular research at the UCL GOS Institute of Child Health
Requirements:
  • GMC specialist registration
  • Membership of the Royal College of Physicians/Paediatricians or equivalent MRCPCH/FRCPCH
  • CCT/CCST in Endocrinology or equivalent training and experience
  • CCT in Paediatric Endocrinology or equivalent training and experience
  • Higher degree – PhD, MD or equivalent
  • Formal teaching qualification
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience in Paediatric Neuro-endocrinology
  • Experience of teaching students and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience of leading Clinical Audit processes
  • Published research in peer-reviewed journals in relevant areas
  • Awareness of Clinical Governance through quality or safety improvement projects
  • Level 3 Safeguarding Training
  • BLS Training
  • Experience of recruiting patients to clinical research trials
  • Experience of working in shared care clinics and clinical networks
  • Experience of clinical leadership or management
