Job Title: Specialist Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to join our dynamic team at Transformation Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist speech and language therapy services to children with complex needs in mainstream and special schools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake specialist paediatric assessments of children with complex presentations and develop treatment plans to address their communication needs.
  • Supervise and support junior speech and language therapists and therapy assistants in the delivery of speech and language therapy services.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based projects to improve communication outcomes for children with complex needs.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working with children with special needs in an educational or multidisciplinary setting.
  • Student supervision and clinical education experience.
  • Experience supervising junior staff, including therapy assistants and NQTs.
Qualifications:
  • Degree or equivalent in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • HCPC registration and Registered Member of Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists.
  • Working knowledge of national policies and procedures relevant to the client group.
