Job Summary

As the Interventional Radiography Manager at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of angiography and fluoroscopy services. This includes governance, workforce, performance, and finance. You will ensure that our services are at the leading edge of healthcare practice and provide the best compassionate care for patients.

Main Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the interventional radiography services as integrated, coordinated services within the directorate.
  • Developing strategic plans to ensure services within the section are tailored to meet the demand.
  • Providing operational management and professional leadership for the interventional radiography services and workforce.
  • Ensuring efficient and cost-effective service delivery to planned objectives, using resources effectively and efficiently to improve quality and productivity.
About Us

The Directorate holds a budget of £46.8million and employs some 748 members of staff who work across the five hospital sites within Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. Medical Imaging and Medical Physics is a key player in every aspect of the services the Trust provides and delivers services to other Trusts and external organisations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A DCR or BSc Hons in Diagnostic Radiography.
  • A post-graduate certificate/master's in clinical specialty or equivalent knowledge and experience in interventional imaging.
  • HCPC registration DCR or BSc.
  • Evidence of continuing CPD relevant to this post.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience

Desirable qualifications and experience include:

  • Project Management experience.
  • Teaching, coaching or mentoring qualification.
  • Chartered Management Institute (CMI) management and leadership qualification.
  • Master's or equivalent in leadership or management in healthcare: NHS Leadership Academy or Institute of Leadership and Manager (ILM) qualifications; Master of Business Administration (MBA).
