About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Building Safety Specialist to join our team at Michael Page (UK). This role will involve providing expert advice and guidance on building safety matters to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing Expert Advice:
    • Offer expert guidance on building safety to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on health and safety best practices.
  • Building Safety Policy:
    • Develop and implement effective building safety policies and procedures.
    • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to design and implement safe building practices.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
    • Conduct thorough risk assessments and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Engage with the development team during design and construction phases to meet regulatory requirements and maintain the 'golden thread' of building information.
    • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement organizational-wide health and safety policies.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or architecture.
  • At least 5 years of experience in building safety management.
  • Strong knowledge of the Building Safety Act and its implications for the construction industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £62,500 - £72,500 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, you will also have the opportunity to develop your career and join a growing business.
