Primary SEN Learning Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel is seeking a qualified Maths and English tutor to work with children with special educational needs (SEN) and/or social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. As a Primary SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will provide one-to-one tuition to children in their homes or a public space.
Your duties will include developing the child's knowledge in core subjects such as Maths, English, and Science, and adapting your teaching style to meet their individual needs. You will need to have QTS or be a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or have SEN/SEMH experience.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be patient and understanding, and have the ability to establish positive relationships with children and their families.
In exchange for your hard work and dedication, you can expect a competitive hourly rate of £25-£30, paid weekly, as well as access to free training and resources.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching and Assessing:You will plan and deliver one-to-one lessons to children with SEN/SEMH needs, assessing their progress and adjusting your teaching methods accordingly.
Communication and Liaison:You will maintain effective relationships with children, parents/carers, and other professionals involved in the child's care.
Professional Development:You will have access to free safeguarding and CPD courses, as well as free access to assessment tools and resources.
