We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Clinical Care Associate to join our team at Church Street Medical.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out designated tasks as instructed by the qualified nurse, ensuring the highest standard of patient care.
  • Acknowledge the need to maintain confidentiality relating to patient information and records.
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with patients, staff, and visitors, directing enquiries to the qualified nurse when necessary.
  • Undertake the following tasks after training and assessment of competence:

    • Recording of blood pressure
    • Recording height/weight and smoking status
    • Undertaking health check screening and reporting findings accurately to qualified staff
    • Simple wound dressing after assessment by qualified nurse
    • Performing ECGs and 24hr ECG monitoring
    • Taking blood specimens as requested by doctor/nurse
    • Testing urine specimens and accurately recording results
    • Undertaking INR clinics and facilitating smoking cessation clinics

  • Assist qualified nurses in organizing clinic appointments, sending patient letters, and accurately recording information.
  • Contribute to nursing audits and maintain the cleanliness of nurses' rooms, trolleys, and instruments.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and colleagues, considering differences in language, literacy, and culture.
  • Support the equality, diversity, and rights of patients, carers, and colleagues, respecting their privacy, dignity, and needs.

Requirements

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Capacity to maintain confidentiality
  • Basic computer skills
  • NVQ level 2 or equivalent
  • Certificate in Phlebotomy
  • Experience in primary care (desirable)
