About the Role

As a Senior Care Assistant at Barchester Healthcare, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support to our residents. Your role will involve supervising and inspiring a team of dedicated Care Assistants, alongside the Deputy General Manager. You will also support the clinical team in various areas, such as medication management, assessments, care planning, and care reviews.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of Care Assistants to ensure residents receive personalized care that respects their dignity and preferences.
• Support the clinical team with tasks such as medication management, assessments, care planning, and care reviews.
• Collaborate with the Deputy General Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the care home.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have an NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care. You will also need to have specific knowledge of clinical care for the elderly. We are looking for individuals who are warm-hearted, compassionate, and committed to giving each resident individualized care and support. With ongoing training opportunities, there is no limit to how far you can progress with us. Many of our Senior Care Assistants have progressed into Care Practitioner, Regional Carer, or nursing roles.
