Westminster Council is seeking an experienced leader to act as the strategic advisor for housing asset management. This pivotal role involves driving the Council's strategy on housing assets, building safety, and service transformation within housing services.

The successful candidate will lead efforts to maximize the utility of the Council's housing assets through effective asset management, including procurement of works and exploring opportunities for rationalization, disposal, and reconfiguration. This role requires ensuring that service delivery standards meet the highest expectations, with a focus on innovation, excellence, continuous improvement, and environmental sustainability.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic advice on all aspects of housing asset management, procurement, and investment opportunities.
  • Leading the delivery of service transformation and improvement projects that align with the Council's objectives.
  • Ensuring high standards of customer satisfaction and service delivery in asset management.
  • Driving innovation, continuous improvement, and value for money in housing services.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory housing standards, particularly in building safety.
  • Collaborating with the Housing Leadership Team to deliver the Council's housing service priorities and improvement programs.


Essential Skills & Experience:

A strong background in asset management, in-depth knowledge of compliance and building safety regulations, experience in managing construction, including the successful delivery of major works, proven leadership in managing multi-disciplinary teams and delivering transformation initiatives, and expertise in reshaping services to meet new regulatory requirements, particularly in building safety."}
