About the Role

Hatched Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Housing Standards, Assets & Investment to act as the strategic lead for housing asset management. This pivotal role drives the Council's strategy on housing assets, building safety, and service transformation within housing services.

As the strategic advisor, you will lead efforts to maximize the utility of the Council's housing assets through effective asset management, including procurement of works and exploring opportunities for rationalization, disposal, and reconfiguration. Your role will involve ensuring that service delivery standards meet the highest expectations, with a focus on innovation, excellence, continuous improvement, and environmental sustainability.

You will collaborate with the Housing Leadership Team and key stakeholders to drive improvement programs and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, particularly in the areas of building safety and compliance. This high-impact role requires strong leadership, technical housing knowledge, and experience in delivering asset strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic advice on all aspects of housing asset management, procurement, and investment opportunities.
  • Lead the delivery of service transformation and improvement projects that align with the Council's objectives.
  • Ensure high standards of service delivery and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
