Human Factors Specialist
Holtec International is seeking a skilled Human Factors Specialist to join our team in designing the SMR-160 small modular reactor. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for authoring human factors assessments and developing the Human Factors chapter in the Safety Case for submission to the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR).
Key Responsibilities:
- Derive human factors requirements and identify key HF standards.
- Develop human factors integration plans and guidance documents.
- Conduct task and error analysis, verification and validation, and HRA assessments.
- Deliver human factors assessments, documents, and plans.
- Coach and mentor team members to develop technical and personal skills.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in an engineering or science related discipline.
- Experience in human factors task and error analysis, HRA, and human-based safety claims.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and balance competing priorities.
