Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in menu creation and implementation, incorporating guest feedback and ensuring consistency in food quality.
  • Manage the kitchen team, providing training and development opportunities to ensure a well-organized and motivated team.
  • Control costs without compromising standards, improving gross profit margins and other departmental and financial targets.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety and food safety legislation.
  • Report maintenance, hygiene, and hazard issues, and maintain good working relationships with other departments.
Requirements
  • Passionate about food and committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train junior team members.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and multitask.
  • Good command of the English language to enable effective communication with the kitchen team.
  • Ability to work morning, afternoon, evening, and weekends, and be flexible with working hours.
