Project Manager - Business Analyst
This role is responsible for the end-to-end project management and delivery of client onboarding and change projects in Securities Services, achieving the agreed scope, time, cost, and quality outcomes for the client.
The role provides project management support within Europe, across Fund Administration, Transfer Agency, Middle Office, Global Custody, and Trustee Services areas. Additionally, the role includes line management responsibilities for a team of Project Managers based in the same location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end onboarding of clients in accordance with HSBC Project Governance, Methods, competencies, and change management frameworks.
- Develop and baseline a detailed project plan to support required deliverables, activities, resource allocations, and project interdependencies.
- Implement project controls and reporting, including project budget and stage gate approvals.
- Produce, review, and approve project deliverables and documentation in line with HSBC methodologies.
- Define effective business requirements and ensure signoff, aligned with SS standards.
- Control, manage, and report risks, issues, dependencies, and changes in scope.
Requirements:
- At least 8-10 years of relevant experience in change management or migration projects in securities/fund administration/fund middle office.
- University graduate preferably in business administration, information technology, or a similar discipline.
- Solid knowledge of Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency, and Middle Office Vendor product – MultiFonds, Markit EDM, XSP, etc.
- Excellent technical aptitude, including knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Excel macros.
Desirable Skills:
- Solid understanding of business change techniques, including industry-standard methodologies, techniques, complex modeling, and scenario planning.
- Strategic mindset, with strong conceptual, creative, and analytical content.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, creative problem-solving, collaborative, and influencing skills.
- Excellent relationship management and networking skills to work with stakeholders across business divisions and geographies.
Language: English; Mandarin speaking also preferable.
