About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our Children and Families team within the Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation NHS Trust. As a Senior Mental Health Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing assessment and goal-focussed interventions to young people experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions, including individual and group therapy sessions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychology, occupational health, and social work
  • Participate in the Duty Clinician rota for urgent response and provide crisis intervention as needed
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with young people, families, and community partners
Requirements
  • Nursing degree or equivalent, Dip OT, Clinical Psychology or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in mental health practice, with a focus on children and families
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Strong knowledge of mental health assessment and treatment planning, including risk assessment and safety planning
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork
