Senior Communications Specialist

The University of Cambridge is offering a challenging opportunity for an experienced Communications Manager and Magazine Editor to join their esteemed Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry.
This exciting role involves developing and implementing a multi-channel communications strategy to elevate the department's research activity profile and impact with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
As the successful candidate, you will apply your exceptional writing, editing, and content commissioning skills to create captivating narratives that translate scientific concepts into engaging stories. Your experience in motivating staff engagement in communications and building strong working relationships with colleagues across the department will be invaluable.
You will have a first degree in a STEM subject, science communication or equivalent experience, and excellent planning, organisational, and interpersonal skills. A good understanding of social networking tools and editorial, proofreading, and report-writing skills are also essential.
The estimated annual salary for this position is £45,000-£55,000.
