About the Role

Tony Gee and Partners is seeking an experienced Principal Rail/Structural Engineer to join our teams across all UK office locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the design of civil engineering projects, including rail infrastructure, bridges, and other structures.
  • Coordinate and deliver designs for rail and civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with Network Rail standards and Eurocodes.
  • Supervise engineers and BIM/CAD technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality design deliverables.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and achieve cost-effective designs.
  • Develop and mentor junior engineers, promoting technical excellence and career growth.

Requirements

  • Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng MICE or MIStructE) with a minimum of five years' experience in civil engineering design.
  • Proven experience in the design of rail infrastructure, bridges, and other structures, including loading to Eurocodes and element design and detailing.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and mentor junior engineers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions and achieve cost-effective designs.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in composite steel/concrete, masonry, geotechnical, and timber design to Eurocodes.
  • Proficiency in finite element software for the analysis of structures.
  • Designated CRE for civils for NR projects.
