About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at a SEMH School in Merton. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and be able to provide individualized support to help them succeed.
Job Description
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide a safe and supportive learning environment for our students. You will be responsible for supporting students with challenging behavior, equipping them with essential life skills to overcome barriers to education.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A passion for working with students with SEMH needs
- Previous experience working in a SEN environment or with challenging behavior
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A coaching or mentoring background is desirable
Benefits
