SEN Teaching Assistant

Ribbons & Reeves is seeking a Psychology Graduate to fill a SEN Teaching Assistant position in Mitcham. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about education and committed to supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Job OverviewThe ideal candidate will provide 1:1 support to pupils aged 11-16 with SEN and SEMH needs. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop strategies that promote academic success and social growth.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support to students with SEN and SEMH needs
- Collaborate with teachers to create personalized learning plans
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
- Support students in developing social and emotional skills
To be considered for this role, you must be a Psychology Graduate with at least a 2:1 degree classification. You should also have a strong academic record at GCSE and A-Level. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
