About the Role
Achieving for Children is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic professional to join our team as a Deaf Instructor. This is a part-time, 1-year fixed-term contract, working 7.4 hours per week for 39 weeks of the year (term time only). The salary shown is the full-time equivalent and will be pro-rata.
About the Job
We are looking for an individual who is committed to working with the Teacher of the Deaf Team to provide specialist BSL support for children and young people who require sign language provision. The successful candidate will work with deaf children and young people to develop their communication skills, and provide training, advice, and resources to families and educational settings on deaf awareness and the use of sign language.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a minimum of a Level 3 BSL qualification and have experience of working with children and young people who are deaf. You will also need to be able to work with families and educational settings to provide training and advice on deaf awareness and the use of sign language.
