Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced In-House Counsel to join our team at Jackson Hogg. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in supporting our business operations and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and support to our business teams on commercial contracts, including tendering, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Advise senior management on contract risks and opportunities, and maintain a portfolio of live commercial contracts.
  • Collaborate with finance, procurement, and contract management teams to achieve optimal results in contracts and projects.
  • Proactively inform and assist sales and project teams on risk, opportunities, and points of attention.
  • Prepare files and draft letters for disputes escalated to legal action.
  • Work with key sales and commercial terms in a supervisory-level role.
  • Ensure compliance with PLC regulations, including MAR and website disclosures.
  • Take ownership of specific projects and demonstrate a flexible, result-oriented approach.
  • Influence others without losing focus on the end result and the company's commercial relations.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
  • Flexible to travel internationally if required.

Requirements:

  • Excellent legal knowledge and experience in commercial contracts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
