About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structures Asset Engineer to join our team at Connect Plus Services, where you will play a critical role in managing the M25 network's infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement asset management strategies for highway structures, including bridges, culverts, and retaining walls.
  • Utilize asset management systems to identify structural renewal and maintenance interventions.
  • Support the delivery of bridge inspections and condition reporting.
  • Participate in lifecycle advisory activities related to structure renewals.
  • Conduct whole-life cost analysis and prioritize renewal schemes.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and contract service schedules.
  • Liaise with the on-roads team to ensure consistency in maintenance regimes.
  • Attend callouts for emergency incidents involving specified assets.
  • Assist in collating information for performance measurement and controls.
Requirements
  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent.
  • Working towards Professional Qualification, MICE, MIAM, MIStructE, or similar.
  • Knowledge and experience of highway bridge asset management and bridge inspection and maintenance activities.
  • Awareness of RWSC, DMRB, and SHW.
  • Understanding of Asset Management Systems.
  • Understanding of working within the Strategic Road Network, with National Highways.
  • Experience in Windows server operating systems.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel.
  • Current UK driving license.
