Job Title: Structures Asset Engineer

Connect Plus Services (CPS) is seeking a highly skilled Structures Asset Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in managing the lifecycle of over 2,500 structures on the M25 network, ensuring the longevity and safety of this critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement asset management, maintenance, and renewal strategies for all structure categories.
  • Utilize the Asset Management System to identify structural renewal and maintenance interventions.
  • Support the delivery of bridge inspections and assist with structures condition reporting.
  • Participate in scheme identification, option studies, and lifecycle advisory activities related to structure renewals.
  • Conduct whole-life cost analysis and prioritize renewal schemes to support the development of asset management plans.
Requirements:
  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent.
  • Working towards Professional Qualification, MICE, MIAM, MIStructE, or similar.
  • Knowledge and experience of highway bridge asset management and bridge inspection and maintenance activities.
  • Awareness of RWSC, DMRB, and SHW.
  • Understanding of Asset Management Systems and working within the Strategic Road Network.
