Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our team at Chesham Primary School.

Responsibilities

  • Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional help.
  • Help prepare and maintain a stimulating learning environment.
  • Assist with classroom management and behavior support.
  • Support the social and emotional development of pupils.
  • Participate in school events and activities as required.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the school.
