Job Opportunity: Variable Hours Lecturer in Vocational Studies

About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Variable Hours Lecturer in Vocational Studies to join our team at Wiltshire College & University Centre. As a Vocational Studies Educator, you will play a key role in delivering engaging, practical, and industry-relevant courses to students across a variety of vocational disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Inspiring Lessons: Create and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that meet the needs of our diverse student body.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of our vocational curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant and aligned with industry standards.
  • Student Support: Provide academic and pastoral support to students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their potential.
  • Assessment & Feedback: Evaluate student progress through assignments and assessments, providing constructive feedback to guide their development.
  • Industry Engagement: Maintain strong links with industry professionals and employers to ensure our courses reflect current industry practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: A relevant degree or vocational qualification in your subject area.
  • Experience: Practical experience in your vocational field, with a strong understanding of current industry practices.
  • Teaching Skills: Previous teaching or training experience is desirable, but we also welcome applications from industry professionals looking to move into education.
  • Passion for Education: A genuine passion for teaching and mentoring, with a commitment to helping students succeed.
  • Flexibility: The ability to adapt to varying hours and to deliver lessons across multiple campuses if needed.
