Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work at a highly regarded specialist school in Lymington. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

The Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be instrumental in supporting students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and physical disabilities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support tailored to each student's needs
  • Supporting students with daily activities and personal care when required
  • Encouraging a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom
  • Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for each child
Requirements:

We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and adaptable individual with previous experience working with children with SEN, ideally within a special school or similar setting. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, as well as the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
