We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a highly regarded specialist school in Lymington. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and physical disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) to ensure students receive tailored support
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, adapting to their unique needs and abilities
  • Support students with daily activities and personal care, promoting independence and confidence
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, fostering a sense of community and belonging
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for each child
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a special school or similar setting
  • A patient, adaptable, and compassionate approach to supporting students with complex needs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant certification, are desirable but not essential
