Specialist Diabetes Nurse

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Specialist Diabetes Nurse to join our team at Division of Surgery – BHRUT NHS. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to adults with diabetes.
Main Duties
- To work as a member of the multidisciplinary team providing a specialist service to adults with diabetes.
- To assist in the provision of a high-quality Diabetes service at King George and Queens Hospital.
- To provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care whilst acting as a role model, educator and a competent nurse.
- To deliver education to staff, patients and carers.
- To provide support and knowledge to other healthcare professionals: i.e. trained nursing staff and junior medical staff.
- To be involved in the running of protocol-based nurse-led clinics for diabetes patients, including assessment and follow-up.

Essential Criteria
- RGN level 1
- Relevant qualification applicable to diabetes
- Education to degree level or equivalent experience
Knowledge / Experience
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in audit

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
