About the Role

Wood is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join our team in the Transmission and Distribution sector. As a leading provider of engineering and construction services, we are at the forefront of delivering projects that support the UK's transition to net zero.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the commercial delivery of Transmission and Distribution Ltd's largest EPC contract on a target cost model, ensuring performance and returns for Wood.
  • Oversee a team of commercial reports undertaking day-to-day commercial administration activities.
  • Manage revenue and entitlement on an open book basis, estimating the construction phase and long-lead procurement orders.
  • Develop commercial strategy for the delivery of scopes and drive delivery strategy.
  • Address unexpected events and manage within budgets to deliver project target EBIT.
Requirements
  • Substantial experience in a similar role with consolidated leadership/management experience, ideally gained within the Transmission and Distribution sector.
  • Proven experience in contract administration, including change management.
  • Awareness of all relevant corporate and project procedures.
  • Experience in claims & dispute resolution, with pre- and post-litigation experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, written, verbal, and presentation.
  • Ability to communicate complex principles effectively at all levels within the organization.
