About the Role:

We are seeking a male care support worker to provide 2:1 or 3:1 support to a young person aged 15 with complex needs.

The ideal candidate will have up-to-date training and experience in supporting service users with Autism, challenging behaviors, and learning disabilities.

A strong background in Positive Behavior Support (PBS) and de-escalation techniques is essential.

As part of the existing support team, you will work closely with the young person's family and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive support package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing 2:1 or 3:1 support to the young person at all times
  • Assisting with daily living tasks, such as personal care and meal preparation
  • Participating in activities that promote social interaction and community integration
  • Collaborating with the support team to develop and implement individualized support plans

Requirements:

  • Up-to-date training and experience in supporting individuals with Autism and learning disabilities
  • Strong background in PBS and de-escalation techniques
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to adapt practice to meet the needs of the young person
