About the Role

Harmonic Finance™ | Certified B Corp is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Finance Manager to join their dynamic team. As a key member of the finance department, you will play a crucial role in steering the business forward and driving financial growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Compile monthly management accounts, including variance analysis, and produce comprehensive finance reports with business commentary.
  • Financial Planning: Prepare and process month-end journals to generate monthly profit and loss statements and reconciled balance sheet statements.
  • Financial Partnerships: Engage regularly with budget holders and business managers, delivering ongoing training in financial management.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor the Finance Assistant and promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Business Development: Assist in the development of the annual business plan and maintain the budget model.
  • Financial Analysis: Develop forecasts to compare actual performance against planned outcomes, including variance analysis.
  • External Relations: Coordinate with external accountants for the preparation of annual statutory accounts and provide necessary schedules and reconciliations.
  • Cash Flow Management: Oversee the business's cash flow management, process payments, and prepare weekly cash flow projections.
  • Employee Benefits: Prepare employee bonus payments for partner review and support the Finance Director in preparing board papers.
  • System Implementation: Contribute to the development and implementation of new business and accounting systems.
  • Financial Governance: Ensure the accuracy of accounting records in accordance with Companies' Acts, tax legislation, and UK GAAP.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or ICAS) / would consider finalist level too
  • Skills: Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Experience: Experience in a professional services or creative business.
What We Offer

Harmonic Finance™ | Certified B Corp offers a competitive salary of £60,000 - £68,000 per annum + bonus + company benefits. The role is based in Central London with a hybrid/remote option of 3 days per week in-office.
