We are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Researcher to join our team at SRG, where you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and purity of our chemical products.

The Role

As a Laboratory Specialist, you will be responsible for handling and processing raw materials and finished chemical products in an industrial laboratory setting. You will utilize a variety of analytical chemistry techniques to determine the quality and stability of raw materials and the quality of end products, as well as ensuring general lab maintenance, stock levels, and sterility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct analytical tests and experiments to determine the purity and stability of raw materials and finished products
  • Develop and implement laboratory procedures to ensure accurate and reliable results
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve laboratory-related issues and improve processes
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Perform routine laboratory maintenance tasks, including calibration and troubleshooting of equipment

Requirements

  • Prior experience in an industrial laboratory environment
  • Hands-on experience with analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, and Karl Fischer
  • Experience with Calorimetry techniques or Atomic Emission Spectroscopy is advantageous
  • Able to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment and prioritize tasks effectively

Shift Patterns

We offer flexible shift patterns to accommodate your needs, including:

  • Coatbridge - Monday-Thursday with a half day on a Friday
  • Grangemouth - Week one - Mon-Wed, Week two - Wed-Fri
