About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team as a Healthcare Assistant at Fairmile Grange Care Home in Christchurch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
- Assist with daily activities, including washing, dressing, and personal care, while maintaining a respectful and dignified approach.
- Support residents with mobility issues, assisting them with transfers, mobilization, and managing pressure points.
- Develop and maintain accurate records of resident care, reporting any concerns or adverse findings to senior healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with the care team to deliver personalized care plans, prioritizing resident safety and well-being.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals, ensuring open and transparent communication.
- Mentor new colleagues, providing guidance and support to enhance their practice and skills.
Requirements:
- A positive and friendly attitude, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, prioritizing resident-centered care.
- Flexibility to work every other weekend and varying shifts, including 12-hour rotations.
- Knowledge of basic life support, manual handling, and infection control procedures.
- Care experience is desirable, but not essential – we offer comprehensive training and development opportunities.
