This is an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker to join our team at Academics Ltd, working in SEMH Teaching Assistant or Nursery Practitioner roles within the education sector.

We are seeking a caring and experienced individual who can provide support to people with special educational/medical needs or physical disabilities. If you have a passion for helping others and a desire to make a difference, we would love to hear from you.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting students with their daily needs, providing emotional support, and promoting independence. You will work closely with our team of professionals to deliver high-quality care and education services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-to-one support to students with special needs
  • Assisting with daily tasks such as personal care and medication administration
  • Encouraging students to participate in activities and promote independence
  • Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement individualized plans

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, social work, education)
  • Experience working with children with special needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Certification in areas such as first aid, CPR, and disability awareness
