About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to our Community Mental Health Team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Communicate with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure effective day-to-day correspondence.
  • Receive and respond to telephone calls, taking messages and taking appropriate action where necessary.
  • Prioritize your work efficiently and effectively, highlighting any issues to the team.
  • Take notes and minutes at meetings regularly.
  • Process mental health referrals and book appointments.
  • Cover reception duties during sickness and annual leave.

Requirements

  • Level III Word Processing or Typing qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Previous secretarial or administrative experience.
  • Experience of setting up and maintaining office systems and procedures.
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office Packages.

  • Experience of working in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work within a team.
