About The Role

First Aid Trainer

Location: London

Hours: per week excluding travel (Monday to Friday with occasional weekend and evening working)

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £, to £, (depending on qualifications) per annum based on hours per week

As a First Aid Trainer with the British Red Cross, you will play a vital role in delivering first aid training and specialist courses, teaching life-saving skills to individuals and communities. You will be responsible for creating a supportive and engaging learning environment, where participants feel confident and empowered to provide potentially lifesaving support in an emergency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver first aid training and specialist courses, teaching life-saving skills to individuals and communities.
  • Support participants in developing their confidence to provide potentially lifesaving support in an emergency.
  • Travel to training venues across the London area, delivering training sessions and engaging with participants.
Requirements
  • Engaging personality and strong communication skills, with the ability to speak confidently in front of groups.
  • Love of listening to others, coming up with solutions to problems, and giving feedback.
  • Training or teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
  • Experience of preparing and delivering a range of training courses, and assertive in presenting to mixed ability groups.
  • Comfortable working on your own and able to travel to a range of training venues.
  • IT literate.
